A father's workshop, a son's trade
Norwood started as a father's joinery business, and it grew the old way: a job done well in one house earning the job in the next one along. The son finished school and went straight into the workshop, learning the trade at the bench before he was let anywhere near a customer's home. He runs the business today, and the rule he was taught still stands. Nothing leaves the workshop that you would not put in your own house.
Thirty years on, the shape of the firm is deliberately unchanged. Designers who visit your home and hold the tape themselves. A workshop that builds what they draw. Fitters who answer to us, not to a subcontracting chain. It is a slower way to grow a company and a better way to build furniture.
